Unihertz, it’s Not Too Late to Save the Jelly Max!

But they MUST embrace LineageOS (IMO), regular updates matter

I can already hear the reviews of the upcoming Jelly Max in YouTube – “….a great phone, probably the best so far from Unihertz, but one you probably shouldn’t buy…”. It drives me crazy to know that’s coming, but it will, if Unihertz continues their track record of not supporting phones with at least security updates – if not entire major Android versions – for 2 or 3 years minimum after release. It doesn’t have to be this way!

The Max has a lot going for it. It’s a reasonable size, which gets you fans right out of the gate – first a perfect screen size at 5″. Everyone else is …

Internet Money Wallet Review: So Far So Good As a Wallet For Pulsechain Tokens and Swaps 👍

Pros:

  • Good support for Pulsechain tokens, and displaying prices in-wallet
  • Supports swaps in-wallet and uses multiple DEXes to shop for the best deal
  • Allows passive income of PLS token fees from swaps by holding T.I.M.E token in-wallet
  • Supports both Chrome and mobile devices

Cons:

  • Much less well known compared to MetaMask
  • Despite 2 external code audits, some default OpSec choices I don’t like (e.g. default unlimited spend limit)
  • Slower to load balances, often requires a manual refresh to get up-to-date balances
  • No Firefox extension

If you are a user on PulseChain (or want to be), you have probably struggled with finding a good wallet for self-custody. Obviously the best wallet for any significant amount of coin is a hardware wallet …

Moto One Zoom Follow-ups

Further updates: I managed to hurt my hand because of the screen width – check out my rant about wide phones here.

Here are some thoughts after my initial post on the Moto One Zoom now that I’ve had some time to think things over…

Hardware Oversights

I never even mentioned the in-display fingerprint reader, and I stand by this decision because unless these sensors are exceptionally bad, people really don’t care about them.  The in-display gimmick is interesting, and probably all phones will have this one day, but it basically does its job.  It’s a little slower than others (notably the Note 10) but it gets the job done.

I should also mention that …

Motorola Moto One Zoom Review: Why Isn’t the Tech Press Talking About This Phone?

Further updates: I managed to hurt my hand because of the screen width of this phone – check out my rant about wide phones here. I no longer recommend this phone to anyone with non-gigantic hands…

I’m going to be more dedicated to updating my site these days, so let’s start with some quick thoughts on the amazing Moto One Zoom.  Since I’ve seen no one cover the Moto One Zoom yet and I’ve had it almost a week, let’s talk about it: it’s amazing.

tl;dr: you should definitely buy this phone if you use any GSM carrier in the US (e.g. T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket wireless and many others) or you’re in Europe. Here
